Huw delivers engaging and interactive events for UK schools and libraries. He also supports various initiatives to encourage children to read, such as the National Literacy Trust’s Premier League Reading Stars project, the Summer Reading Challenge, World Book Day and Patron of Reading.
Why book a visit? Meeting an author can encourage children to read and inspire them to write. It can also be an exciting way to learn about the subjects behind the books.
What to expect?
Author talk: Huw delivers an interactive talk to an audience of up to 300 children about his work and the writing process, including readings, a quiz, a drawing and Q&A.
Writing workshops: Huw works with a class of up to 60 children to design characters, brainstorm a storyline and write an opening paragraph.
Huw is happy to discuss individual requirements with schools, bookshops, festivals and libraries.
